The Los Angeles Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks were up against each other in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, as they were the 3rd and 6th seeds respectively. The Clippers won the first game 118-110, even though Mavericks star shooting guard, Luka Doncic, scored a whopping 42 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds. Up 1-0, the Clippers lost Game 2, which evened up the score.
Finally came Game 3, which was nothing short of entertaining. In the 1st quarter, as the Mavericks were up 115-113, Luka Doncic told Montrezl Harrell to “stop flopping” (a move commonly used in basketball to impose a foul against the opposing player). Montrezl did not take this criticism very well, as he responded by calling Luka a “b****-a** white boy”. He received a fair share of criticism over this derogatory statement, however no punishment by Adam Silver, the commissioner of the NBA.
Many people have stated their anger for the lack of action taking place in this case. They believe that if the roles were reversed, the consequences would be brutal and Luka Doncic would be crucified.
It seems there will be no consequences for his actions, as the series ended with the Los Angeles Clippers beating the Dallas Mavericks 4-2.
